日本海の低気圧前面で海上、山ともに穏やか、昼以降気温があがり南の湿った風雪が始まる。低気圧通過後は北寄りの風雪が強まりふきだまりが発達する。午後遅くから明日にかけて、標高や斜面の向きを問わず雪崩リスクの高い状態が続く。吹雪の中で風下側の谷や急な側壁を滑ってはならない。谷底にいてはならない。多くの事故は吹雪の中で起こっている。風が10m以下に落ちればふきだまりは圧密安定し始める。15m以上の雪と強い降雪で急激に成長する風成雪スラブは弱線破断しやすい。事故後に弱層を見つけても後の祭りであり死者は還らない。学んだ雪崩知識を過信してはならない。各ゲート開閉の判断はパトロールが行う。指示に従うこと。安全を陰でささえるパトロールに敬意を払うことを求める。一昨日の見返りの事故ではモイワパトロールの迅速な救助とともに、道警山岳救助隊と山麓消防の前進待機が速やかに行われた。山の安全はこれらの人々によって守られている。今日は早めの行動を。明日の雪崩情報は休む。このスポーツに100パーセントの安全はない。ビーコンはオンか? 良い一日を。

Calm conditions at sea and on the mountains preceding a low pressure system over the Sea of ​​Japan. Temperatures are expected to rise after noon with snow and southerly winds. After the low pressure system passes, northerly winds and snow will intensify with snowdrift development. The avalanche risk will be HIGH at all elevations and aspects from late this afternoon through tomorrow, . Avoid skiing in leeward valleys or steep side walls in blizzards. Stay out of the valley bottoms. Many accidents occur during blizzards. After the winds fall below 10m/s, snowdrifts can begin to consolidate and stabilize. Wind-driven slabs, which grow rapidly with >15m/s winds and snowfall,are prone to fracture on weak layers. Finding the weak layer after an accident is too late and will not bring back the dead. Don’t rely too much on learned avalanche knowledge. Patrol will make open/close decisions at each gate. Please follow their decisions. 等圧線幅ひろがり海上波高低下、標高1000m付近の風は弱まり、ふきだまりが安定しながら発達、降雪の量は多いが観測と試験から全体の雪崩リスクは低い。各ゲートは時間を限って開けられる、パトロールの判断に従うこと。ゲートの外はスキー場ではない。昨日モイワ見返り沢で暴走による谷への転落事故が起きている。現場を熟知したモイワパトロールが生存救出、救助に協力した人たちに感謝する。低温下の救助は一刻を争う。装備も持たず滑走の喜びを求めて安易にゲートの外に出てはならない。ニセコはコース外滑走を容認する。しかしそれは滑走者の自覚と常識的行動を前提に成り立っている。知識や技術を過信してはならない。雪崩走路の谷底にいないこと。ノールや雪庇下の斜面を刺激しないこと。雪崩は自然現象だが人がいなければ事故は起きない。ビーコンはあるか?　プローブやショベル、非常食やロープは持っているか?　このスポーツに安全はない。良い一日を。一昨日のヒラフ山頂下の雪崩は強い南風で稜線下に堆積した重いふきだまりの破断と推定、前例がなく調査中。

Isobar are moving apart and ocean waves are dropping. Winds have dropped at 1000m with snowdrifts developing and stabilizing. Although it’s been heavy snowfall, observations and testing indicate a general low avalanche risk. Gates will be open at limited times. Please follow the patrol’s decisions. Outside of the gates is NOT part of the ski resort. Yesterday, someone lost control and fell into Moiwa Mikaeri creek. The Moiwa Patrol, familiar with the area, rescued the victim alive. We are grateful to all those who cooperated in the rescue. Rescue efforts in low temperatures require immediate action. Skiing off-course in Niseko is not officially permitted. However, under the Niseko Rules, it is possible only with the understanding and common sense of everyone.Don’t overestimate your knowledge or skills. Stay out of the valley bottoms, these are avalanche paths. Avoid stimulating knolls or cornice slopes. Avalanches are natural phenomena. Accidents don’t happen without people. Do you have a beacon? Do you have a probe, shovel, emergency food, and rope? There is no safety in this sport. Have a nice day. The avalanche that occurred the day before yesterday below Hirafu summit is believed to have been caused by heavy accumulations below the ridge due to strong southerly winds. Snowdrifts created by the southerly wind as the low-pressure system passes through have stabilised over time. Snowfall intensified from midnight with light wind, and snowdrift development is small. New snowfall reached a maximum of 40cm, with minimal wind impact, during the early morning. Based on our observations and data, the overall avalanche risk is low. Gates are expected to open; please follow the ski patrol’s instructions. Heavy snowfall since midnight can trigger loose-snow avalanches. Be cautious as their speeds remain high even in the trees.

There’ve been quite a few accidents caused by losing control on groomers. Ski within your ability. The mountains are crowded. Do not trigger avalanches by traversing cornice slopes. Do not stay in valley bottoms. Avalanches come from above. Snow has finally begun to bury the bamboo grass. Today’s powder is good. Watch out for riding into trees. There is no safety in this sport. 低気圧前面で気圧の傾きゆるく海上、山ともに穏やか、ふきだまりの発達はなく観測とデータから全体の雪崩リスクは低い。各ゲートは開けられる見込み、パトロールの指示に従うこと。

ニセコルールはスキー場コース外滑走のルールであり、利用者の事故防止のために設けられている。しかし林野庁は根本法規でこれを認めておらず、黙認しているに過ぎない。現実問題として冬山のリスクはスキー場コース外、他の自然山岳ともに等しくある。ニセコ雪崩情報はそれを客観的に示してスキー場や周辺山岳地帯の事故防止に役立てるために出されている。判断は本来それぞれが行わなければならない。この情報はスキー場利用者のみならず多くの山岳愛好者の現場でのリスク判断のために出されている。多くの雪崩事故は多量の降雪と吹雪のふきだまりが造る重いスラブが弱層に関係なく自重で弱線破断することで起こっている。

A weak pressure gradient ahead of the low-pressure system has brought calm conditions to both the sea and the mountains. No new wind slabs have developed, and based on our observations and data, the overall avalanche risk is low. Gates are expected to open; please follow the instructions of the ski patrol.

The Niseko Rules were established to govern out-of-bounds skiing and prevent accidents. However, the National Forestry Agency does not formally approve this Rule under fundamental laws; they just tacitly tolerate it. In reality, the inherent risks of the winter mountains are the same whether you are just outside the ski resort boundary or deep in the backcountry. The Niseko Avalanche Information is issued to provide objective data to help prevent accidents both in the resort surroundings and the wider mountain range. Ultimately, the final judgment rests with the individual. This information is intended to assist not only resort users but all mountain enthusiasts in making their own risk assessments in the field. Most avalanche accidents occur when heavy slabs, created by heavy snowfall and wind-driven snow, collapse under their own weight along intertwined lines of weakness within the slabs—regardless of the presence of a prominent weak layer.

Both sea and mountains are calm, with a strong cold air inflow. 10-15cm Light crystal snowfall. Heavy snowdrifts accumulated until yesterday have consolidated and stabilized. Based on observations and data evaluation, the overall avalanche risk is low. The south-facing, strictly off-limits area of Haru-no-taki has developed a thin crust due to solar radiation. There is a risk that triggering could cause the entire slab to fracture. Dangerous. Do not duck ropes and sneak into strictly off-limits areas behind the back of the ski patrols. Yesterday, a rider crashed into a tree while riding from the summit. Hirafu Patrol rescued them, but the transport was difficult due to insufficient snow. 場所により雪の量が異なるが標高800m以上西側で40cmの降雪、ふきだまりは風下ノールで150cm、試験では容易に破断。データの評価から鉱山の沢、大沢雪庇面、東尾根、湯の沢及び春の滝立ち入り禁止区域、水野の沢の雪崩リスクは高い。これらの場所では厚さ50cm以内の中規模な面発生表層雪崩が起こる危険がある。この雪崩は時速80km以上と速度がやや速く逃げられない。標高1000m付近のノールや雪庇斜面上部を刺激してはならない。

雪崩は急斜面のトラバースなどの不用意な行動で起こる。谷には人がいる。慎重な滑走を。各ゲートの開閉は未定、パトロールの判断に従うこと。ここはスキー場であり利用者は規則に従う義務がある。

本日アンヌプリ7番ええ沢ゲートが開けられる。ロープをくぐり、途中から沢に入ってはならない。ひとりがくぐれば大勢がその後に続き、事故の可能性を高める。コース外へは必ずゲートから出ること。

Snowfall amounts vary by location, but up to 40cm of new snow has fallen on the western areas above 800m. Snowdrift slabs have reached 150cm on leeward knolls, and stability tests show they fracture easily. Based on data evaluation, the avalanche risk is HIGH in the following areas: Kozan-no-sawa, Osawa cornice face, Higashi-one (East Ridge), Yunosawa, the Haru-no-taki strictly prohibited area, and Mizuno-no-sawa. In these areas, there is a danger of medium-sized soft-slab surface avalanches (up to 50cm thick). These slides can exceed speeds of 80km/h, making escape nearly impossible. Do not stimulate knolls or the upper sections of cornice slopes around the 1000m elevation.

Avalanches are often triggered by careless actions, such as traversing steep slopes. There are people in the valleys below; ski and ride with extreme caution. The opening of each gate is yet to be determined—follow the judgment of the ski patrol. This is a ski resort, and all users are obligated to follow its regulations. 

Annupuri Gate 7 (Ee-sawa) will open today. Do not duck the ropes to enter the gully mid-way down. If one person ducks a rope, many others follow, significantly increasing the risk of an accident. You must only exit to the backcountry through the designated gates.

The snow in the trees is excellent. Watch out for tree wells and collisions. It’s a good day out there. Is your beacon turned on?

風のピークは午前4時、その後15m以下で推移、雪の量は少ないが標高700m以上はリセット、標高1000m付近、雪庇吹きだまりの発達はやや急、50cmで破断、西側鉱山の沢側壁、アンヌプリ大沢雪庇面は滑走刺激で破断して小規模な雪崩が起こりやすい。朝一から滑らないほうが良い。規模に関係なく雪崩はあぶない。雪庇下やノールを切ってはならない。雪崩の引き金になる。谷にとどまってはならない。雪崩は上から来る。下部は藪が多く滑走ラインが限られる。衝突に注意。昨日は1000人以上がゲートから出てコース外を滑っているが事故報告なし、ルールを守ってくれた人たちに感謝する。ゲートは開けられる予定。パトロールの指示に従うこと。ゲートの外はスキー場ではない。ニセコはコース外滑走を認めるが利用者の安全も気にかけている。過信が事故を起こす。このスポーツは危ない。常に用心を。ガイドやリーダーには大きな責任がある。ビーコンはオンになっているか?　良い一日を。

Winds peaked at 4am and have dropped to below 15m/s since. Only light snow overnight, but it has reset above 700m. At 1000m there was rapid cornice and  snowdrift development, expect fractures at 50cm. On the west wall of Kozen no Sawa(BackBowl) cornices are prone to break and cause small avalanches . Avoid skiing this area first thing in the morning. Avalanches are dangerous, regardless of size. Do not ski under cornices or cut knolls. This could easily trigger an avalanche. Do not wait around in the valley bottom. Avalanches come from above and follow the valleys down. Lower slopes are still heavily covered in bushes, limiting available lines and exits. Watch out for collisions. Yesterday, over 1000 people skied outside the gates, but no accidents were reported. We thank everyone for following the rules. The gates are scheduled to open. Follow patrol instructions. Outside the gates is not part of the ski resort. Niseko allows off-piste skiing but is also concerned about the safety of its visitors. Overconfidence leads to accidents. 等圧線幅拡がり海上、山ともに比較的穏やか、降雪は風の影響が少ない結晶雪10-20cm、観測とデータ評価から全体の雪崩リスクは低い。本日時間限定で各山頂ゲートが開けられる。ビーコンやプローブは義務ではないが持つことを勧める。あれば万一の時にあなただけではなく仲間の命を救う可能性が高まる。これらの道具はフアッションではない。安易に鉱山の沢に入ってはならない。標高1000m以上南東面の雪崩リスクは残っている。立ち入りが禁止されている春の滝に入ってはならない。積雪のスラブ化が進んでおり厚さ100cmの雪崩の可能性がある。事故の多いモイワ10番は初心者がアンベツ川に転落するリスクが高いため当分の間閉鎖する。ゲートの外はスキー場ではない。ニセコはニセコルールのもとでコース外滑走を容認しているが、常に利用者の安全を心配している。このスポーツに安全はない。過信や不注意が事故を起こす。ガイドやグループリーダーには大きな責任がある。無理のない計画を。雪は素晴らしく良い。パトロールの意見を聞きコース外へ出ること。良い一日を。

Having these tools increases the chances of saving not only your life but also the lives of your friends in the event of an emergency. These tools are not a fashion accessory. Do not enter the BackBowl creek lightly, there is still the risk of avalanches on the SE face above 1,000 meters. Never enter the Strictly Off Limits area Haru no Taki. 冬型の気圧配置が続き西からの風雪強、標高1000m付近、風成雪によるふきだまりの発達著しく観測から弱線破断しやすい。弱線破断とはふきだまりの構造脆弱性で起こる破断、知られている弱層からの破断ではない。この雪崩は強い降雪を伴う風雪下で起こる。本日大沢雪庇面、バックボウル全域、東尾根なと標高1000mの雪崩リスクは高い。春滝は太陽反射による表面のスラブ化が進み非常に危険。1998年の事故を思い出すこと。

山頂ゲートは3日に開ける予定。以下はヒラフ隊長金沢のコメント、「積雪は例年の半分、コース外の木、穴、岩等隠れていない。東尾根方面の道路は未圧雪で歩行困難。スノーシュー、シール必携、無ければコース外に出てはならない。帰れなくなる。ツボ足で入るのは狂気の沙汰。怪我、事故、迷子に注意。雪はとても良いが深い。パトロールは事故を心配している。」良い一日を。

The typical winter pressure pattern continues, with strong winds and snow from the west. Significant wind-driven snowdrift development at 1000m and observations indicate a tendency to fracture on weak layers. The fracture caused by structural weakness in the snowdrift, not a fracture from a known weak layer. This type of avalanche occurs from wind and snow accompanied by heavy snowfall. Today, the avalanche risk is HIGH above 1,000 meters, including Osawa cornice slope, the entire Back Bowl, and the East Ridge. Harutaki is extremely dangerous due to the surface slabbing from the sun. Remember the 1998 accident?

The peak gate is scheduled to open on the 3rd. Below is a comment from Hirafu Team Leader Kanazawa: “The snow depth is half of the usual amount and trees, holes and rocks are not covered in.
